If you're looking for a cheap hall to rent in Wandsworth or SW London, Ackroydon Hall is one of the best value halls you will find in this area.

Bookings

For one-off bookings in either of the halls, please use the booking request form on the contact page. Please let us have your name, which hall and the date/s and times that you wish to book.

If the halls are free when you need them and you wish to proceed with your booking, you will need to arrange a suitable time with the booking manager to visit him and fill out the booking form. You will need to provide a suitable form of ID clearly showing your name and address– preferably your current driving license. You must be over 21 years of age to book the halls.

To secure your booking, you will need to pay the full fee plus the deposit when you fill out the booking form. Please note we do not take credit or debit cards.

If you are a customer looking to use the halls on a regular (weekly) basis, we can set up invoicing and bank transfer payments for your convenience.

Unregulated parking is available outside the hall on Montfort Place, but please be aware that there are limited spaces. Parking on Princes Way, the main road adjacent to Montfort Place, is also unregulated.

The bookings number for the hall is 07395 570905 weekdays only between 9am and 5pm. Please note that this is an unmanned phone number and will guide you to the booking form online.

For emergencies only, outside office hours, please ring 07814 278373. Please note, no booking information will be given on this phone number.

Available Booking Times

Ackroydon Hall is located in a residential area, so we are open for bookings strictly between 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week. No bookings can exceed the latest time, which includes cleaning the hall and your guests must leave the immediate area around the hall within 15 minutes of the end of your booking.

Noise

We are subject to noise control, both within and outside booking times. Please ensure that you do not make excessive noise, and your guests leave on time and with respect for local residents. If your booking is subject to verifiable complaints from local residents, you will automatically forfeit your deposit and will be restricted from further hall bookings.

Cleaning After a Booking

The Ackroydon Halls are hired out as 'dry' hire facilities, which is reflected in the reasonable cost. When hiring, you have full responsibility for cleaning the hall thoroughly within the time you have booked, and putting away all tables and chairs in the proper place where you found them. You must  bring your own black bins sacks with you. These can be disposed of in the large council bins by the side of the shops. Please DO NOT put anything in the waste bins on the paved area outside the hall. Also please note that the area around the hall, and particularly the paved area at the front needs to be kept clean and tidy – this area is managed by the Tenants Management Organisation who manage the estate, and who have the power to prosecute hall users who leave litter in this area, and who put their hall refuse in the bins. CCTV is in operation here.

Cancellation policy

If, for any reason, you need to cancel your booking you must do so 14 days before the booking date, otherwise you will forfeit your full booking fee. Your deposit will be returned to you.

Return of Deposit

After your booking and cleaning up, please take a series of photos of the hall, the kitchen and both toilets, showing them to be clean and tidy with all tables and chairs put away.

Subject to you complying fully with our terms and conditions, your deposit will be returned no earlier than 2 working days after your booking. This is to ensure that there are no nuisance, litter or noise reports from the Council and/or TMO. If, for any reason, your deposit is retained by us, you will be given the specific reason/s via email by the Bookings Manager. Please be assured that we only withhold deposits if absolutely necessary. However the decision to repay or retain your deposit by Ackroydon Hall Management Committee will be final.

Treatment of Hall Staff

Ackroydon Hall is run and maintained by volunteers on behalf of the community. Any abuse, either verbal or physical, of our staff will not be tolerated at all, and will be reported to the police and Wandsworth Council. You run the risk of prosecution and will be banned from future use of the halls. Please note: if you are asked to vacate a hall for any reason during your booking by the Bookings Manager, you must comply immediately, without question.
